Not to mention the 2018 election - so I wouldn't overstate his influence on voters. PS: Thanks for removing the severely compromised Murray Hunter from your contributors. Good move.

Excellent write up and well summarized. Ther is no comment on how DAP or PAS view a pardon for Najib. This is relevant. If AI as PM is supporting the pardon then his credibility and statements on anti corruption will be questioned by all the people who have supported him and his party. I am sure that many PKR and dap members will not support a pardon for Najib.

Perhaps too cynical overseas. But I interpret everything I see in Malaysia's politics as part of the campaign to spring Najib. How many local henchmen was he supporting, 190? That's patronage that counts!
