(Angry Papuan natives went on a rampage today after Indonesian police gunned down Mako Tabuni, a pro-independence activist, setting cars and shops alight in the resource rich province. Police said Tabuni, who had been campaigning for a probe into recent shootings, was resisting arrest. "He was armed. Police asked him to surrender but he didn't. Police shot at him, hitting his hip and leg. He died on the way to hospital," a police spokesman said.
