Not one bit surprised that South Korea is entering the arms supplier race. During the Vietnam war, it was a supplier of low-level equipment such as uniforms, boots, etcetera. Since then, with the phenomenal expansion of its economy, led by the all-powerful family-controlled chaebol, and given the military industrial complex that has developed in the country, thanks to North Korea, and China supplies of ams and finance to Pyongyang, it was only a matter of time before South Korea would become an arms supplier, perhaps also at the "influence" of its patron, the United States, which is probably feeling a little too "stretched".
