Sliding their way through slush

A Korean lawyer, acting through a Catholic Priests’ organization, has accused Korea’s Samsung Group of maintaining an illegal bijageum, or slush fund, using accounts in his name worth 5 billion won (US$5.512 million). The lawyer, who once worked as an executive at the company, claimed there are hundreds of such accounts in the names of company executives.
