India’s prime minister Narendra Modi is today suffering the biggest defeat of his political career with his Bharatiya Janata Party being routed in elections for the Delhi state-level assembly. The Aam Aadmi or common man party has swept the polls. Counting is still in progress, but the AAP is leading in more than 65 of the 70 seats, driving the BJP down to less than five seats and the Congress Party to an astonishing zero.
