Iran, Irak, Jordan, Malaysia, Turkey, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Algeria, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Chad, Somalia and at least a dozen more countries have all supported the South African initiative as well as provide material and moral assistance to the people of Gaza.
When India fought for its independence and Britain unleashed a holocaust to beat the German holocaust against the Jews, no "Hindu country" helped India. The point of relevance here may be missed by the author of this article. Where a principle of common values is involved you don't expect only people of certain class or creed to come to the rescue.
