Escaping the Tax Man in China

Latin America, it seems, is becoming a favored market for Chinese outbound direct investment, claiming more than 12 percent of the Middle Kingdom’s overseas direct investment, according to an April report by HSBC. However, Brazil, the biggest country in South America, only got 0.2 percent of total overseas investment, followed by Peru and Venezuela, the only two other countries with a share above 0.1 percent.
