If you have made off with , ie stolen , over a billion US dollars in public funds , it should be easy in Malaysia to fix a few judges , politicians and police officers and still have plenty for Madam’s hand bag collection …….
What a farce . Malaysia should be consigned back to the third world where it belongs with the other corrupt, inefficient, hopeless countries .
I agree with Jeremy Stewardson 100%: what a bleeding surprise that the criminal fraudster Najib razak has been handed a gift on a golden platter that even the so-called king and his merry sultans would turn green with envy. In Malaysia, "reform" is a dirty word. Always was, always will be. So is Madani a dirty word and the desperate cowardice of prime minister Anwar Ibrahim, who's too afraid to front court, has played the old Mahathir Mohamad game of abusing the power of his political office to again make Malaysian judiciary politically pliant to the Madanai-Malay regime, just as the judicial system in Singapore is a political extension of the ruling PAP autocratic regime. The next stun Anwar Ibrahim will pull is free Najib Razak, especially as the next general election hovers closer. He's soiling himself in his sarong, knowing that for the most part he stinks, that he's on the nose of most Malay-Moslems who do not care for his leadership (laugh). Anwar Ibrahim is Malaysia's Donald TACO Trump. He knows that without UMNO's backing his wild and woolly Pakatan Harapan regime will not survive what looks like a probable rout by the opposition Malay-Islamic parties. His management style is all politics. Any moron can play with taxation policies to make his coffers grow fatter, but in Malay subsidy crutches mentality, that bird just won't fly far. Playing with taxes and subsidies isn't economics; it's all politics. Even the second-in-charge of the finance ministry screws up on SST vs GST. To be sure, jackasses rule PH. Then look at the way he runs his own party, PKR. The guy's a joke. Two of his better ministers quit and refuse to return to the cabinet, and Anwar tries then makes belated attempts to beg them to return. They told him to take a flying leap if you're going to play the old Malaysian game of cronyism and nepotism. He'd tried to install his daughter Nurul Izzah into his regime but when the people saw right through his pathetic games, Nurul Izzah ran, as her father did, with tails between their legs. There's really nothing new about Malaysia. It's the same of chickenshit games the Malays play amongst themselves to keep power and to milk the country's finances for themselves (Anwar himself is the eleventh richest man in Malaysia with assets of almost MYR12 million. Yep, go figure!) His anti-corruption tzar at the MACC is a doubtful character, what with his convenient excuses over his share trading; it's a wonder he hasn't been dragged over hot coals. Who else would protect Baki but Anwar, who uses Baki as his political Gestapo against his enemies from within and without. Anwar Ibrahim is Mahathir Mohamad reincarnated. He's learnt well from his ex-mentor. Now he has student bodies and NGOs screaming for his blood. Rightly so. The dude's too damn incompetent.
Oh, neglected to mention the Chinese-dominated DAP within Anwar Ibrahim's PH regime. How quickly they became silent, retreated from their tired old Malaysian Malaysia mantra to Madani Malaysia and total silence. Just about every DAP minister in PH is mute, plays dumb, suddenly too scared to question Anwar over the rights of the Chinese, Indians and others, and who've shown how they basically screw up in each of their portfolios. Loke, the DAP head honcho, can't even organize a kids' birthday party with clowns let alone his transport ministry. Now there's every chance the KLIA train revamp project's budget is going blowout like an airplane's tire. Or the sports minister Hannah Yeoh, who can't tell a a left from a right shoe, a badminton to a tennis racquet. PH is abysmal. But not surprising. They're all talk, just as Anwar's all bluster and grand idea but zero execution. PH increasingly has raking up zero credibility. DAP's legitimacy is dubious despite winning the most seats in the Unity government. But the number of seats, in fundamentally racist and corrupt Malaysia, which still practices the old Umno art of money politics (i.e. corruption), matter far less than what its ministers can do, and do so unquestionably competently. And then they wonder why the Chinese-dominant PAP regime in Singapore is consistently 15 years ahead in planning policies and execution than the tepid clowns in Malaysia, why the country -- despite its super highways and glass towers and shopping malls -- can't even get close to sniffing Singapore air of successful national management (oh, shit: I just praised the fascist PAP autocracy of Singapore).
Ha ha ha !!! What a surprise. NOT .
