Yet another flashpoint between China and the United States is cooking in Southern California, where two Shenzhen property tycoons have been accused of paying bribes to a US official, Jose Huizar, to advance mega-projects like building the “tallest skyscraper west of the Mississippi River,” a 77-story structure, in Los Angeles.
