China's Structural Economic Problems
China is slowing fast. Since hitting a post-financial crisis high of 11.9 percent in the first quarter of 2010, Chinese quarterly GDP growth has risen in just two of the subsequent 13 quarters. The latest figure of 7.5 percent, for the second quarter of this year, is down from 7.7 percent in the first quarter and 7.9 percent in the last quarter of 2012.
