AIDS Epidemic Slows but Defeat Still Far Away
Zero complacency and stronger action needed to meet 2030 goals

Slowly, and with great effort and expense, the scourge of AIDS, which has taken the lives of 40 million people globally and sickened an estimated 84.1 million, is being won. But in order to eradicate the disease by 2030, the stated goal of the World Health Organization, an enormous amount of work must be done.
